About the property
One of four luxury retreats on the site with a driveway that is lined with pretty blossom trees in spring, The Hideaway provides a romantic escape for couples. Spend quality time together in the private hot tub while admiring the stunning views over Rabbit Dale, or retreat to the cosy living room for an evening of relaxation. Should you wish to explore the area, there is an abundance of walking and cycling routes on the doorstep or you can venture to the historic city of York for a wonderful day out.
The space
The barn begins with a warm and inviting living room, complete with large patio doors, exposed wooden beams and underfloor heating for that extra cosy touch. Relax and unwind on the sofas with the ambient sound of the log-effect fireplace or admire the breathtaking views over Rabbit Dale and the Yorkshire Wolds. There is also a Smart TV should you wish to catch up on your favourite programmes with a morning coffee.
Meanwhile, the country-style kitchen/dining room provides all the essentials you would expect including a Rayburn, a fridge/freezer, an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher. Homemade bread and artisan pizzas can also be made to order with plenty of notice and at an additional fee if you don't feel like cooking.
A small set of steps leads to the beautiful super-king-size bedroom which is complete with elegant décor and an en-suite with a shower and a luxurious roll-top bath.
Outside, you will have access to a south-facing garden with views over Rabbit Dale and a private hot tub. When the sun is shining, prepare a delicious alfresco meal on the Kamando Joe BBQ or relax with a crisp glass of wine in hand.

Painting and Drawing - the beautiful surroundings provide the perfect setting for beginners and advanced artists alike. The classes are taught by experienced artists, plus a homemade lunch with wine can be included at an additional fee.
Yoga - relax and recharge in tranquil surroundings and join in on a yoga class with an experienced instructor.
Sourdough Bread Baking - the owner is a passionate cook and will teach you how to make your own loaf of bread and provide a sourdough starter kit so you can work on your new skill at home too.
