The historic town of Nantwich and delightful village of Tarporley are close by. Wander a ¼ mile down the lanes to the Cholmondeston Marina, stop for delicious refreshments and start your walk along the Shropshire union canal towpath which then links to the Llangollen canal.

The Whitegate Way, Delamere Forest, Sandstone trail, Peckforton and Beeston Castles are good walking places. Tatton Park, Cholmondeley Castle, Bewildered need visiting, not to mention the Crocky trail if you have younger family members. For racing enthusiasts we have Chester race course (four legged! ) and Oulton Park ( four and two wheel !) very nearby. Chester deserves a visit, full of history and of course it’s very famous zoo. Summary: The property was of a very high standard and the quality of everything was superb from kitchen equipment, garden furniture, bedding & decor. The hosts in the neighbouring farm were delightful and friendly bringing back our puppy who managed to escape from the lovely, large garden. Everything was provided for our furry ones too ( our 3 dogs ) from a luxury bed to doggy snacks, towels, poo bags etc etc. The welcome pack provided had lovely scones, clotted cream, jam and a delicious rhubarb drink! Heavenly! WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE ENOUGH! It certainly had the ‘WOW’ factor!
