It’s a 20-minute walk to a good foodie pub, as well as the local country store and village shop. The most famous tor on Dartmoor, Hay Tor, is 2 miles away where walking and cycle routes abound. The Miniature Pony Centre, 9 miles, is great for families, and a local riding centre, 5 miles, offers hacks on the moors. Dartmoor National Park is literally on the doorstep making this the perfect rural retreat. Beach 13¼ miles. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 3¾ miles.
