Summary: Brilliant two nights at The Fig Tree Shanklin. Highly Recommend! First evening, after Dinner at The Steamer Inn down on the Shanklin Esplanade, we caught the lift back up from the Esplanade and walked to The Fig Tree to experience their Monday Open Mic Night which was good fun and we were given accompaniment instruments to join in the funas well as singing along. Really enjoyed the evening. The Fig Tree is an excellent place to stay. Residents can buy drinks from the bar anytime over the day. I have disabilities and there is a lift which was very helpful. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and contained my favourite; Fresh Fruit including Kiwi, Pink Lady Apple, Banana, Satsuma and you can order all kinds of eggs. Full English or Veggie English as well as Porridge, and they layout small box cereals with Yogurts and Juices in the fridge + Coffee and Teas.
