Summary: Positives: friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast and lots of food options available, fancy and huge shower in room, bed comfortable, free parking in pub car park, WiFi good. Negatives: Furniture is old and battered and as it's an old building, the floor is very wonky, like a crooked house, so walking around is a bit like trying to find your sea legs and failing! A bit dusty and carpet needed a hoover. TV does not connect to streaming services. Biggest complaint is the noise from the bar, and I think this room is probably directly above it, so you have to have the TV up to megaphone volume to drown out music in the evening. I have no idea what the other rooms are like, I did expect some noise but I guess it's a room above a pub, so..... a rather mixed experience. I would come to the pub for the food and might stay again but would choose the room next time.
