Summary: The hotel is well situated on a main road and not too far from motorways. the upper floor has attic style rooms with some sloped ceilings. Well equipped and comfortable rooms and the heating works well in all areas. The spa area has a wonderful heated pool, steam room, sauna and a well equipped gym. Rooms at the rear have a view of the golf course and the grounds and the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The restaurant is spacious and breakfast offerings are of a standard nature. Staff throughout the hotel are mostly pleasant and helpful. A fellow traveller had a room above the area of the reception/ restaurant/ kitchen. If you are here you will get little if any peace for the continual banging of double doors and moving of furniture by the staff. Indeed the building is full of poorly hung double fire doors that most people allow to slam together- these desperately need repositioning or upgrading to soft close ones.,
