Summary: This is a well located hostel style accommodation in central Barcelona with buses, trams and metro all nearby. The room is basic but spacious and private bathroom is clean. My room had no air con , only a tower fan, which in honesty was not enough for the stifling summer heat so i try not to stay in the room for too long. It won't be for everyone especially those who cannot tolerate heat or the elderly. My biggest issue is the inconsistency in service by reception staff. Most of them are polite and helpful, except one extremely rude overweight man who works evening shifts, who questioned me why i was asking for extra shampoo and toilet rolls. It was in the evening and I was tired so did not want to start an argument but normally such people would not have a job after such disrespectful and unprofessional behaviour to a customer. I have reported this to reception - to management: get rid of him he is ruining the decent service the rest of the team gives.
