Ideally located on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, both coast and countryside are within reach for exploration. Head south to the famous Southwold, home to Adnams Brewery where you can have a tour and tasting session, an array of independent shops, the quintessential pier and the beach lined with brightly coloured beach huts. Aldeburgh is famous for its fish and chip shops so get there early as they are very popular! Thorpeness set around the mere is worth a visit, hire a boat and see the islands named after Peter Pan characters or take in a spot of golf.
