Positive: Excellent location for a quiet stay. The cottage was private, clean and easily manageable All necessary appliances. Hot water and good heating. Very suitable for the single person. Hawkshead a good walk away for bus route to Ambleside, shops, pub, deli, supermarket and pharmacy. I though it a good price for my stay. Parking allocated outside the front door. Good Wifi signal. Friendly locals. The company was responsive with email enquiries.

Negative: An alternative route to get to the cottage. The ferry is a quicker way to get to it from Windermere. Check the ferry times. Straight to the top of the hill, pass the village. Watch for the left turning to the cottage. The defib' on the right. The entrance to the cottage is on a bend to the right, it's a little tight to get through with the car. Blink and miss it. The cottage is hidden back on right through the gate.

Summary: In the heart of the lakes. A little cottage that's deceptively spacious, relaxing and quiet.
