Positive: First of all, before going any further, make sure you read ALL the previous reviews of this property. You will find that what I’m about to write has been experienced by many other guests. This is crucial. The property is managed by a company based in London. Most issues are dealt with by them, not the owner. After booking has been confirmed, the company will demand a £300 deposit to be paid before occupation. This is for damage, late checkout, and other potential issues. It was refunded a week after we departed, but you need to be aware of this. In the apartment there is no working hot water supply. There is a functional electrically heated shower, but the bathroom wash basin and kitchen hot water supply has just a minute trickle at best. We reported to the host (but in reality the management company) but despite being assured that this was being dealt with “by our maintenance team” we were totally ignored. The smoke detector in the apartment was not fitted, and was lying on the floor of the wardrobe. We reported to the host (but in reality the management company) again, despite being assured that this was being dealt with “by our maintenance team” we were totally ignored. There is a noisy water tank next to the bedroom. It is in a cupboard with no door and the electric heater came on 2/3 times a night making a noise like a gigantic electric kettle that wakes you up each time it switches on. The kitchen is equipped with just the bare minimum cutlery, dishes, plates and cooking pans. During our almost two week stay clean towels were provided, but no change of bed linen. The bedroom is tiny, and has no bedside tables or shelves. On the positive side for us, the apartment is in a great location and has a dedicated parking space. Also, as our stay was for almost two weeks, a big plus was the property having a washing machine. However, there was no iron or ironing board, and the owner (not the management company) did supply both these items.
