The Moorings is a modern 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment, offering spacious living space with spectacular views of the estuary as well as being just a couple of minutes walk of the beach. The apartment is non smoking and we are sorry but we don't accept pets
Approached from the private car park, where you have your own parking space you enter the building by a secure lobby, up the stairs to your own entrance hall with ample room for coats and shoes. Entering the beautifully presented apartment itself, the two bedrooms are on the left hand side with views over looking the private communal gardens and are separated by the bathroom. The bedrooms, one a double and the other a twin, are equipped with very comfortable mattresses / duvets and pillows and both have their own wardrobes, whilst the bathroom has a walk in shower, washbasin and toilet.
On the right side of the apartment which overlooks the estuary is the open plan living space, which offers a fully contained kitchen area with electric hob, electric fan oven and grill, fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, a lounge which opens onto the private balcony and a separate dining area all with differing estuary views. The lounge has a sofa and 2 armchairs, a wall mounted TV with free view as well as a DVD player, a Bose system for playing your CDs and iPod and offers access onto the balcony which has its own table and seating for 2. The separate dining area also has a dining table and 4 chairs, bookcases offering a selection of books, DVDs and games for your enjoyment.
WIFI/internet is available via the hub in the lounge area.
The apartment is gas centrally heated via a combination boiler with thermostatic controls that also supplies all of the hot water on demand.
All bed linen and towels are provided along with a welcome pack tea, coffee milk, sugar and biscuits.
There is a communal bike store that can be used to store bikes during your stay – please bring your own bike locks
There is a local shop, 4 local bars and a hotel that all offer food, all within walking distance
There are also regular bus services serving both Barnstaple and Bideford as well as a ferry service in the summer that will take you to Appledore
