No smoking. . In an elegant row of Victorian houses, Castle View is a spacious ground floor apartment just around the corner from the Italian gardens that lead down the cliff side to the spa. A perfect place to enjoy this wonderful seaside town, situated on the very popular South Cliff, with wonderful views across the clifftops towards the castle. You can enjoy a short stroll down to the beach or take the funicular railway tram. Built in 1875, it was the first funicular railway built in the UK. Once on South Bay there’s a lovely long marine drive stretching for over 4 miles where you can enjoy a nice flat walk along the seafront towards Scalby Mills where you’ll find the Sea Life Centre. The two bays are separated by the castle perched on the headland and overlooking the town and seafront.
Scarborough has something for all age groups from the Stephen Joseph Theatre and the open air theatre that provide fantastic entertainment to Peasholm Park, a wonderful green space with gardens, lakes and rowing boats. There is also a fantastic leisure centre for the children to enjoy, with wave pools and swimming pools. Yorkshire is famous for its stately homes and Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Castle Howard are just a short drive from Scarborough. Within walking distance are plenty of restaurants and bars as well as shops. Beach 2¾ miles (300 yards by lift). Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
