A short journey inland takes you to the North York Moors National Park, with the heritage steam railway winding its way through rural villages to the coastal town of Whitby. There’s a great selection of walks through the countryside, perfect for those who love the outdoors. For activities nearby there is Dalby Forest for cycling and zip-lining through the treetops, Wykeham Lakes for water sports including, as well as inflatable assault courses.
Scarborough is a vibrant seaside resort with family attractions such as the waterpark and spa, Sealife Centre and oriental gardens at Peasholm Park, as well as a funfair, ice-cream parlours, amusement arcades and traditional fish and chips.
